The Spirent 401324 Ethernet Interface Module is an integral part of the Adtech AX/4000 broadband test system. This Ethernet interface supports both 10BASE-T and 100BASE-T standards, allowing smooth testing across Ethernet networks. It is designed for efficient and scalable broadband testing; it allows simultaneous support for a number of transmission technologies: ATM, IP, Frame Relay, and Ethernet. The AX/4000 system-the product line which includes 401324 Ethernet Interface-features high performance and broad adaptability in its creation through Axis. This is hence the best solution for the testing of broadband access, mobile backhaul, routing, multicast, and MPLS technologies. Equipped with a modular architecture, the AX/4000 can accommodate a variety of field-programmable test modules to configure and scale testing interfaces to 10 Gbps based on specific network needs. Its flexibility in configuration for different network environments-from subscriber edge to core backbone-emulation makes it highly useful in rendering device and network compliance to the most rigid performance standards before actual deployment.
This interface module also provides complete software controls that are intended to simplify testing setup and operations. The AX/4000 software is a GUI for establishing the Ethernet port interface, viewing network metrics, and injecting alarms or faults so system responses can be analyzed. The platform is designed to work with multiple Spirent test suites that offer conformance testing against over two dozen protocols, which will help identify protocol-specific problems in product development and at the troubleshooting stage.
