Keysight/Agilent M9147A PXI RF Multiplexer
The Keysight M9147A is a PXI RF multiplexer that provides the engineer with a very small but highly accurate means of routing their signal through various measurement devices or test points in a laboratory setting. Four 1 x 4 RF switch paths are combined into a single PXI unit providing the engineer with a densely packed switching solution when they have limited rack space available. The M9147A is designed for 50-ohm signal paths and can operate bidirectionally at frequencies up to 3 GHz, providing excellent solutions for testing RF/microwave signals in laboratories where clean signal transmission is required.
When in operation, the M9147A allows the engineer to route RF signals from one source to multiple measuring instruments or test points with little to no disruption. Typical uses of this product include lab automation, validation test stations, production test systems, and RF instrumentation configurations where rapid channel selection is necessary. By using a terminated common configuration on each multiplexer path, the quality of the signal will be preserved throughout the switching process. Additionally, by minimizing the insertion loss and maximizing the isolation characteristics, accurate measurement data may be obtained along the entire signal chain. The product was manufactured for repetitive switching cycles at a maximum of 30 VDC and 1 A and has been engineered to meet all requirements for automated switching operations.
This product contains four (4) 1x4 RF switch multiplexers in a single PXI module, SMA connectors, and software drivers for some of the most popular programming languages, including LabVIEW, MATLAB, C/C++/C#, and Visual Basic & Visual Studio. In addition to these drivers, the Keysight Connection Expert and soft front panel provide complete setup and control capabilities for the user. As such, industrial automation engineers and test system architects will find that the Keysight M9147A represents an attractive method of creating expandable RF switching architecture designs for signal routing, device characterization, and automated measurement needs.
