Keysight M9153A PXI High-Density RF Multiplexer
The Keysight M9153A is an industrial-grade, 75-ohm impedance, 1x16, DC to 3 GHz switching configuration module for use as part of an RF automated test system. This unit contains a high-quality, 75-ohm impedance bi-directional switch that allows you to route RF signals to one of sixteen available channels from a single input source. As such, this module has been designed specifically for automated test applications where high signal integrity is required in a 75-ohm environment.
When used in conjunction with other M9153A units, the module's small footprint makes it suitable for the construction of large-scale switching configurations. In addition, the module's high-quality SMB connectors provide secure connection and minimize the signal degradation often associated with repeated connect/disconnect cycles. The typical insertion loss of the module is 1.2 dB at 3 GHz, and isolation is 40 dB at 3 GHz and increases to 56 dB at 1 GHz. The voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) is less than 1.55:1 throughout the entire specified frequency range to preserve signal fidelity. Additionally, each internal pathway has been carefully routed to provide consistent RF characteristics from channel-to-channel.
As a result of its 75-ohm impedance, this multiplexer is ideally suited for routing video RF signals and testing video and broadcast equipment as well as for characterization of components in cable television or telecommunications infrastructure. By automating the process of selecting signals to be tested, the M9153A will greatly increase the speed of production tests and validate work flows. A wide variety of comprehensive software drivers exist to allow the user to program their desired application using C, C#, and Visual Basic along with MATLAB and LabVIEW. Using Keysight's Connection Expert and soft front panel capabilities makes configuring your M9153A easy and fast. As such, users will spend significantly less time developing new test procedures and maintaining existing ones. When deployed either in R&D labs or manufacturing facilities, the M9153A provides consistent, reliable switching in 75-ohm RF automated test systems.
