Keysight E3632A Programmable DC Power Supply
The Keysight E3632A is a single output, single power capacity of 120 Watts programmable DC power supply, designed for precision in industrial automation, research, and development verification, production testing, and quality assurance. The power supply has a dual-range configuration, and the user can use a 0-15 V/7 A or a 0-30 V/4 A configuration according to the voltage or current demand. The power supply supplies clean, stable power with excellent line and load regulation (+/-0.01% of output plus offset) in a bid to minimize the effect of dynamic load or variable input voltages.
The E3632A supports GPIB and RS-232 interfaces, with remote control through SCPI commands, for simple integration into automated test systems. The front panel of the device features a convenient knob and keypad, allowing quick voltage and current adjustments with a resolution of 1 mV and 1 mA. It also has the feature of storing three user-programmed configurations in nonvolatile memory for instant access, thus improving efficiency in repetitive testing procedures. Remote sensing allows for voltage drop compensation in load leads, for precise delivery at the DUT.
The E3632A power supply has low noise (<350 μVrms normal mode voltage noise) and also has a fast transient response (recovery in less than 50 μsec from a step change of 15 mV). It has protection from overvoltage as well as from overcurrent for the protection of connected devices, and programmable voltage slew rates offer better control during power cycling. Temperature stability (+/-0.01% + 3 mV per degree C) ensures good performance within a large set of environmental conditions.
The E3632A has a compact size (213 mm W x 133 mm H x 348 mm D) with terminals accessible at both the front and back, thus supporting easy integration in benchtop or rack-mount configurations. It has a global AC input range (100-230 V ±10%) and also complies with global safety standards, e.g., IEC 1010-1 and CISPR-11. Its use covers accurate testing of digital and analog circuits, automation of manufacturing processes, and verification of embedded systems, where dependability, programmability, and accuracy in measurements are required. The availability of remote interfaces together with strong protections also makes it a proper candidate for demanding industrial and laboratory environments.
