Keysight N6752A DC Power Module
The Keysight N6752A is an autoranging direct current power module designed to provide precision and fast performance for automated testing. The module integrates easily with the N6700 Modular Power System Family, with the ability to program voltage and current with high precision. The module supports a voltage span of 0–50 V and current ranges of 0–5 A or 0–10 A, with the highest possible output power being 100 W. The autoranging design offers the best possible performance across the full output range, supporting varied load conditions with no user adjustment.
Among its salient features are voltage programming precision of 0.06% + 19 mV and current programming precision of 0.1% + 20 mA for solid sourcing of stringent requirements. Measurement capabilities are emphasized by voltage accuracy of 0.05% along with 20 mV and current accuracy of 0.1% augmented by 4 mA, supported by voltage resolution of 1.8 mV and current resolution of 410 µA. The module is guaranteed for consistent output even with load variation, with a load effect of 2 mV and source effect of 1 mV. High-speed transient recovery of less than 100 µs allow for rapid response for dynamic load variation, which is a significant consideration for testing battery-powered devices or components requiring large power.
The N6752A offers remote sensing for compensation of the voltage drop on load leads, with the tolerance maintained with a 1 V drop on each lead. Programmable overvoltage protection with 0.25% ± 0.25 V precision and 50 µs shutdown response time is provided for protection of the devices under test. Advanced down-programming is available for effective discharge of capacitive loads up to 1000 µF, which is a feature critical for testing energy storage devices. Designed for flexibility, the module is designed for series or parallel configurations of the same units for increasing current or voltage outputs. A high-bandwidth (10 kHz) measuring system tracks instantaneous changes of the signals, and correction features provide maximum transient response. Relay options such as 761 provide the possibility to extend the settling band tolerance up to ±125 mV for special purpose applications.
