TDK-Lambda DPP480-24-1 Power Supply
TDK-Lambda's DPP480-24-1 DIN-rail mountable power supply is a 24 V, 480 Watt (480 VA) industrial power module designed to provide reliable DC power to automation panel applications. The DPP480-24-1 can operate on a 90 - 264 VAC input voltage, which makes it useful for use in different regions around the world that have varying AC input voltages. Due to its Active Power Factor Correction (PFC), the DPP480-24-1 reduces the electromagnetic interference (EMI) generated by the AC power source and maintains a constant level of DC power output to motor-control circuitry, programmable logic controller (PLC) systems, and other process equipment.
The DPP480-24-1 provides a regulated 24 V DC output of 20 A (maximum), providing the required power for various industrial control devices and sensor systems. Additionally, the output voltage of the power supply can be adjusted over a small range of 22.5–28.5 V DC for those applications where a specific output voltage is necessary. Both output voltage regulation (±0.5%) and output ripple (limited to 100 mV peak-to-peak) are very low, ensuring that any sensitive electronic equipment connected to the DPP480-24-1 receives extremely clean and stable DC power.
The DPP480-24-1 is designed for free air convection cooling inside a typical industrial control cabinet and therefore does not require any forced airflow to ensure reliable operation between −40°C and +71°C. In addition, the DPP480-24-1 features a built-in DC-GOOD relay, which allows the output status to be reported to a PLC or other monitoring system, and a series of LED indicators located on the front panel provide a quick visual indication of the output status. Furthermore, multiple DPP480-24-1 modules may be paralleled together (up to 3 modules) depending upon the application requirements for additional power or redundancy.
Designed specifically for mounting onto a TS35 rail, the DPP480-24-1 may be installed directly into most standard industrial control cabinets used in factory automation, chemical processing plants, automotive manufacturing lines, test & measurement systems, etc. The power supply also meets or exceeds all relevant international safety and EMI standards and therefore provides a reliable and safe solution for designers creating their own industrial power infrastructure. By providing stable 24 V DC power with tight output regulation and flexible configuration options, the TDK-Lambda DPP480-24-1 will enhance overall system reliability across a broad range of industrial applications.
