TDK Lambda GEN20-165 Programmable DC Power Supply
The TDK Lambda GEN20-165 is a high-performance programmable DC power supply engineered to meet the rigorous demands of industrial automation applications. It delivers a continuous rated output power of 3300 W with a nominal output voltage of 20 V and a rated output current of 165 A. The peak-to-peak ripple and noise are contained within 55 mV at a 20 MHz bandwidth, while RMS ripple measured across the 5 Hz to 1 MHz range remains under 7 mV.
The line regulation for the GEN20-165 is maintained to a maximum of 4 mV in constant voltage mode, and load regulation is held within 8 mV at rated voltage across all output loading conditions. The precise digital control is achieved through integrated 16-bit ADCs and DACs. The model includes RS-232 and RS-485 serial communication interfaces as standard features. The support for global commands enables seamless incorporation into multi-device RS-485 network configurations.
The GEN20-165 power supply’s remote voltage programming provides a resolution of 0.4 mV with an accuracy of 10 mV at the rated output voltage. The remote current programming offers a resolution of 3.3 mA and an accuracy of 495 mA at the rated output current. The up-programming response for the model from zero to full-rated output voltage is achieved within 80 milliseconds. The down programming response is rated at 100 milliseconds under full-load conditions and extends to 800 milliseconds under no-load operation.
The voltage readback is supported by the GEN20-165 Programmable DC Power Supply with a resolution of 1.20 mV and a corresponding accuracy of 10 mV at full rated output. The remote sense capability compensates for up to 2 V of voltage drop across output wiring. The warm-up drift is kept below 0.05% of rated output voltage once the unit reaches thermal stability.
The external analog programming and monitoring for the power supply are facilitated through user-selectable input voltage ranges of 0 – 5 V and 0 – 10 V. Additional control flexibility is provided through independent remote ON/OFF and remote enable/disable functions that allow multi-layered system management.
