TDK Lambda GEN8-400 Programmable DC Power Supply
The TDK Lambda GEN8-400 Programmable DC Power Supply is housed in a 2U rack mount enclosure measuring 423 mm wide, 88 mm tall and 442.5 mm in depth. The unit weighs 13 kg with rear panel exit air ventilation for reliable zero stack rack installation. The output voltage and current monitoring are user selectable as 0 to 5 V or 0 to 10 V with ± 1 % accuracy. The power supply includes onboard RS-232 and RS-485 serial interfaces for remote programming and system level device integration. The RS-485 output enables chaining to additional Genesys power supplies for synchronized multi supply configurations. The remote and local voltage sense connections on the rear panel enable accurate load-end voltage regulation. An optional interface slot on the power supply accommodates IEEE 488.2 SCPI, isolated analog or LAN modules.
This model provides a rated output voltage of 8 Vdc and output current of 400 A. The model delivers a total rated output power of 3200 W at a typical efficiency of 82 %. The model can operate at full load in an ambient temperature range of 0 to 50 °C. For consistent industrial performance, the operating humidity is rated between 20 and 90% RH without condensing. For safe long-term storage, the model's recommended storage temperature ranges from -20 to 85 °C. For long-term unit protection, the storage humidity tolerance ranges from 10 to 95% RH without condensing.
The GEN8-400 is a three phase input programmable DC power supply designed for industrial automation systems. It accepts three phase AC input voltage across a range of 342 to 460 Vac. Its input frequency compatibility spans 47 to 63 Hz to support global industrial power standards. The output voltage is adjustable from 0 to 8 Vdc to meet precise application voltage requirements. The output current is programmable from 0 to 400 A that is suitable for electroplating and process automation. The rear panel of the GEN8-400 Power Supply includes a DB25 female connector for non isolated analog functions. A built in DIP switch enables user selection between 0 – 5 V and 0 – 10 V analog programming and monitoring signal modes.
