TDK-Lambda Vega-Lite 550 Configurable Power Supply
The TDK-Lambda Vega-Lite 550 is a multi-purpose AC-DC power supply designed for industrial use that has a variety of different uses, such as industrial automation, telecommunications, test & measurement, and high-complexity control systems with many voltage rails. The Vega-Lite 550 is a single 550W module that can be configured to create 11 individual voltage rails (discrete outputs), allowing for a simpler system design and reduced parts count. The power supply also supports worldwide use by having an extremely wide input voltage range of 90 to 264 AC volts and is approved by several major international safety certification bodies.
There are two ways to configure the Vega-Lite 550: using an online configurator or manually selecting modules based on a detailed coding system. To configure the device, you would first select a base converter, then the cooling method, then the input connector configuration, followed by the configuration of your control signals, and finally select your output modules (both single and twin). Output modules provide for a wide range of different voltage combinations (3.3V, 5V, 12V, 24V); each output module will specify the maximum current it can handle along with the slot width of the module, ensuring both physical and electrical compatibility with other modules installed in the same chassis. The Vega-Lite 550's modular design makes it particularly well-suited for use in high-complexity power rail applications such as those found in industrial automation, telecommunications infrastructure, test & measurement equipment, and high-complexity control systems.
The Vega-Lite 550 is a high-reliability power supply providing a stable and efficient operation with low noise and ripple, remote sensing, and comprehensive protection, including over-voltage protection and over-temperature protection. The power supply is capable of operating in demanding environments with defined derating to allow operation at ambient temperatures of between 0°C and 65°C. The device is also compliant with strict EMI and immunity standards, allowing for reliable operation in harsh industrial electromagnetic environments. The Vega-Lite 550 provides a future-proof, scalable power supply platform that is able to consolidate multiple supplies into one robust unit, providing a safe and reliable power foundation for critical electronic systems.
