TDK Lambda Z36-12-U Programmable Power Supply
The TDK Lambda Z36-12-U is a programmable DC power supply for industrial automation. The output voltage range covered by the model is 0 to 36 volts. The power supply has a maximum output power of 432 watts and a current adjustment range of 0 to 12 amps. The model requires no minimum load for operation. The overcurrent protection is user programmable and supports foldback mode. The overvoltage protection shuts down the unit and is programmable. The overtemperature protection is selectable as latched or non latching. The power supply's load regulation is 2 mV plus 0.01 percent of the rated voltage in CV (constant voltage) mode and 5 mA plus 0.01 percent of the rated current in CC (constant current) mode. This is true for load changes from 0% to 100%. Additionally, the line regulation is equal to 2 mV plus 0.01 percent of the rated voltage and 2 mA plus 0.01 percent of the rated current. The model includes RS232 RS485 and USB interfaces as standard. The IEEE488 GPIB and LAN interfaces are available as optional additions. Up to six Z36-12-U units can operate in parallel for higher power. The model also offers an optional front panel output jacks configuration.
The transient response recovery time is 1 millisecond. The temperature coefficient in CV mode is 30 ppm per degree Celsius. In CC mode, this coefficient rises to 100 ppm per degree Celsius. The temperature stability in CV mode is 0.02 % of rated voltage over 8 hours. In CC mode, the stability over 8 hours is 0.05 % of rated current.
The Z36-12-U Programmable Power Supply operates from 0 to 50 degrees Celsius at full load. The storage temperature ranges from minus 20 to plus 85 degrees Celsius. The humidity tolerance spans 20 to 90 % operating and 10 to 95 % storage. The cooling in the power supply comes from an internal fan. The model operates up to 3000 meters with derating above 2000 meters. The withstand voltage reaches 2 kVac input to ground and 3 kVac input to output. The output to ground withstand voltage for the power supply reaches 707 Vdc. The isolation resistance exceeds 100 megaohms at 500 Vdc and 25 degrees Celsius.
