Aeroflex 3026C PXI High Power RF Signal Generator
The Aeroflex 3026C is a high power PXI RF Signal Generator designed for communication domains. This generator offers an output frequency range from 1 MHz to 6 GHz for various automated environments. It supports peak output power levels from −120 dBm to +17 dBm above 3 GHz with high-level accuracy of ±0.3 dB to make it suitable for production systems. The 3026C PXI generator contains a low phase noise synthesizer with typical performance of −115 dBc/Hz at an offset of 20 kHz. The generator supports digital, analog, and vector modulation modes with an RF modulation bandwidth of up to 90 MHz for complex modulation schemes. Its internal modulation generator produces single-tone sinusoidal signals with full control of frequency and deviation parameters.
The FM modulation is supported with a rate range from 1 kHz to 50 kHz and 1 Hz resolution. The deviation range for the 3026C spans from 10 Hz to 2 MHz. The resolution for this range is selectable from 1 Hz to 1 kHz or 10 Hz above 1 kHz. Total harmonic distortion is less than 1.5% at maximum deviation to ensure clean output. The PXI-3026C features a dual-channel AWG with up to 2 GB of memory. It supports dwell times from 250 microseconds to 10 seconds with 10 microsecond resolution. It also maintains list mode for rapid frequency or amplitude switching and waveform sequencing for continuous signal playback.
The counter mode operation is available with internal timing control by supporting flexible dwell configurations. These triggering and timing options of the 3026C provide deterministic control for synchronized testing and data acquisition environments. The front panel of the 3026C PXI generator unit includes SMA and SMB connectors to support RF, I/Q, LO and 10 MHz I/O signals. The 10 MHz I/O port allows external frequency reference input from 0.4 to 4 V pk-pk and loop-through output for clock synchronization.
The data streaming and waveform creation are supported through PXI Studio and IQCreator software. These interfaces enable efficient digital IQ streaming and comprehensive modulation setup within automated systems. The 3026C Generator has a local oscillator port that accepts 1.5 to 3 GHz input nominally at 0 dBm with 50 Ohms termination.
