Spectracom GSG-51 GNSS Signal Generator
The Spectracom GSG-51 GNSS Signal Generator (one channel) simulates GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, and BEIDOU signals and is used to check and validate the GNSS capability of various types of devices and equipment before they leave the manufacturing line. The GSG-51 is generally used for validating GNSS receiver assembly completeness, GNSS antenna connectivity, and overall signal acquisition performance. The signal generator provides a wide range of GNSS signal strength from -65 to -160 dBm and can be used for both direct connect and over-the-air test setups, which makes it ideal for testing mobile devices, GPS/GNSS modules for automotive and aviation, IoT devices, and other industrial automation systems that utilize accurate positioning.
GNSS signal strength levels are set via the GSG-51's user-friendly front panel interface, which also allows for quick selection of the GNSS satellites to be simulated, the GNSS signal strength level, and the timing characteristics without requiring external software compilation steps. The generator was designed specifically for use in automated test workflows and provides a simple means of integrating into USB, Ethernet, and GPIB interfaces for seamless integration into most manufacturers' GNSS receiver testing processes. The GSG-51 has a high-stability OCXO time base that ensures reliable frequency performance, and the addition of millimeter-level pseudorange accuracy along with stable long-duration simulation provides a reliable method of maintaining test consistency and quality throughout the manufacturing process.
The GSG-51 comes standard with all necessary accessories including an RF Cable, Adapter, and USB Connection to enable the user to immediately set up the GNSS Receiver Validation. An Optional Over the Air Antenna will increase the versatility of the Signal Generator to test other types of antennas, and the Upgradeable Architecture of the Platform will provide users the option to add additional constellations or more Advanced Simulation Capabilities as Product Requirements Evolve. Therefore, the GSG-51 is an effective GNSS Testing Solution for Manufacturers looking to create Efficient, Accurate, and Scalable Signal Generation within their Production Processes.
