Haivision Makito F-290-1 Video Encoder/Decoder
The Haivision Makito F-290-1 is a professional grade video encoding / decoding appliance that is engineered to provide video over IP in mission critical environments. As a compact appliance, this unit allows for the conversion of high-definition video signals into H.264 streams at lower bandwidths for the purpose of sending them across IP networks. The Makito F-290-1 provides many interface options as inputs and outputs, such as 3G-SDI, HD-SDI, composite, S-Video, etc., so that it can be compatible with the majority of broadcast and professional video equipment.
The encoder/decoder has been engineered to deliver superior performance and achieve an extremely low total system latency of 70 ms, making it well-suited for many real-time interactive applications. The F-290-1 can support video resolution at up to 1080p60 and offer multiple options for streaming video, including Unicast, Multicast, and RTMP (Real Time Messaging Protocol) output options. Many of its operational characteristics are unique, such as multi-bitrate streaming, which enables the simultaneous streaming of video to multiple platforms; selective mute, for the purpose of access control; and logo overlay, for branding video streams. Additionally, the Makito F-290-1 incorporates Forward Error Correction (FEC) and High-Grade Encryption to ensure the video being delivered is both secure and resilient against packet loss and unauthorized access.
This encoder/decoder is essential for video communication in many industrial automation, remote monitoring, and operational telepresence systems. Due to its rugged design, this product is suitable for the installation of control room applications, simulation and training centers, and large-scale digital signage networks.
