Keysight/Agilent 34933A Dual/Quad Reed Matrix for 34980A
The Keysight/Agilent 34933A is a reed-matrix-switch module designed specifically for the 34980A multifunction switch/measurement unit; this will enable you to develop an automated test system (ATS) signal-routing solution that is flexible in its application. With 128 available cross-points and a capability of being configured as either 1-wire or 2-wire matrix configurations, engineers are able to choose the number of channels they require for their test procedures. In addition, each crosspoint has the capability of supporting voltage ratings of up to 150V and current ratings of up to 1.5 amps, and because reed relays have a fast response time to switching, they allow test systems to quickly transition through the various stages of a test sequence at a rate of 500 channels per second.
Additionally, by using the built-in analog bus within a 34980A multifunction switch/mainframe, users can link multiple 34933A modules together in order to create large matrices, such as up to 1024 1-wire cross-points. The ability to connect modules without having to physically run cables throughout a laboratory or manufacturing floor allows users to scale up their test systems without the additional expense associated with running cables from one module to another. Furthermore, by configuring the 34933A as a single-wire matrix, users can add even greater numbers of channels to their test system and take advantage of the ability to make simultaneous measurements between multiple measurement instruments and multiple points on a device-under-test (DUT).
In terms of physical connectivity options, the Keysight/Agilent 34933A offers users two different types of connection options, namely a standard 78-pin D-sub connector, which works directly with both standard D-sub cables and mass-interconnect-cable products. Users may also purchase optional configuration blocks and high-density screw terminal blocks for providing users with ample wire management space and secure termination options. Additionally, Keysight also provides users with other optional terminal blocks such as the 34933T terminal block, along with other cable assembly options such as Y-1135A, Y-1136A, and Y-1139A cable assemblies.
