Keysight 44472A Dual 1x4 VHF Multiplexer
The Keysight Agilent 44472A Dual 1x4 VHF multiplexer is a broadband switching module for automated VHF signal routing. It provides two independent 4-to-1 coaxial multiplexers for controlled connection between instruments. The module supports DC to 300 MHz switching for high-frequency measurements. Its internal 50 Ohm termination helps maintain predictable impedance across unused signal paths. The multiplexer uses bi-directional 1 x 4 switching paths with BNC terminal connectors. Each multiplexer group routes one common port to four selectable channels within a 50-ohm system. This layout supports spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, distortion analyzers, oscilloscopes, and waveform analyzer setups.
It handles maximum center-to-center and center-to-low voltage ratings of 250 VDC. The Keysight 44472A It also supports 30 VAC RMS or 42 VAC peak across those same switching paths. The low-to-chassis and low-to-low voltage are rated at 42 VDC for isolated signal configurations. The module carries up to 30 mA DC or 300 mA AC RMS per channel. The multiplexer maintains controlled electrical behavior for measurement paths. The thermal offset is below 15 uV, which helps limit measurement error in low-level signal work. The initial closed channel resistance is below 1 Ohm for stable path continuity during operation.
AC performance of the model remains defined across the full VHF frequency range during automated switching. The insertion loss stays below 0.5 dB at 30 MHz and below 0.75 dB at 100 MHz. The insertion loss remains below 1.25 dB for routed high-frequency signals at 300 MHz. The 44472A module provides low crosstalk between channels within the same switching group. The crosstalk is below -100 dB at 30 MHz and below -85 dB at 100 MHz. The group-to-group crosstalk is below -85 dB at 30 MHz and below -50 dB at 300 MHz. The Keysight 44472A Dual 1x4 VHF multiplexers also provide defined VSWR values for impedance-sensitive systems. The VSWR is below 1.06 at 30 MHz and below 1.12 at 100 MHz.
