Keysight/Agilent U2354A 16-Channel USB Modular Multifunction Data Acquisition
The Keysight/Agilent U2354A has sixteen analog input channels that have a 16-bit resolution and are capable of sampling at a maximum sampling rate of 500 ks/s. These analog inputs can be configured as either single-ended or differential to enable accurate signal acquisition within industrial environments. The Keysight U2354A is powered via a USB connection (USB 2.0) and operates natively in accordance with USBTMC and USB488 standards, allowing seamless integration with development platforms including, but not limited to, Windows operating systems, MATLAB, LabVIEW, and Keysight VEE. Engineers may use the Multifunction Data Acquisition independently or add multiple units together to expand their system to include synchronized multi-unit operation through the addition of the U2781A chassis. Additionally, the U2354A may be further enhanced with the optional inclusion of the 34939A General-Purpose Switch Module that adds an additional sixty-four independent SPST relays to route signals from the U2354A to measurement instruments.
In addition to being able to measure analog inputs, the Multifunction Data Acquisition has 24-bit programmable TTL digital I/O lines that enable you to directly control relays, solenoids, and switches, so you do not need to purchase any additional interface hardware. In addition to these digital outputs, two counter channels are built-in to allow you to make frequency and pulse measurements. Burst mode allows you to acquire signals nearly simultaneously across multiple channels when making fast transient measurements. Included with the U2354A is a license for BenchVue software that enables you to transform your device into a functional digital multimeter in polling mode or a basic oscilloscope with continuous triggering and makes creating test sequences very easy. With the addition of the 34939A Switching Module, which can handle up to 1 amp switching current and 2 amp carrying current, you now have the capability to cycle power on/off to devices under test and control indicator lights.
As a result, Industrial Automation Design Validation, Manufacturing Testing, and Long-term Environmental Monitoring personnel depend on the U2354A for their critical applications across Automotive, Aerospace, and Electronics sectors. The device is particularly good at collecting temperature, strain, pressure, and vibration data throughout product qualification and production screening. The field wiring process can be simplified through the addition of terminal blocks (U2901A or U2902A). Additionally, if you require high-density signal routing in your test benches, the 34939A module will extend the platform's switching capacity.
