Keysight DAQM901A Data Acquisition Multiplexer
The Keysight DAQM901A module functions as a data acquisition multiplexer with 20 channels and adaptive signal routing with high-speed scanning in automated test environments. The module combines high-density switch with 80-channel per second scanning to ensure effective configuration and monitoring of varied measurement configurations in both two- and four-wired formats. The module supports high-coverage observation in resistance, voltage, and temperature signals in a wide range of applications such as industrial automation, component testing, and environmental monitoring among others.
The module includes 20 main multiplexer channels, augmented by two special fused inputs tailored for measuring direct current. These additional channels provide for AC/DC current measurements up to 1A, without the necessity of external shunt resistors, thereby simplifying system integration. With a 300 V switching capability, the DAQM901A is adapted for both low-level sensor signals and industrial inputs of higher voltages. Its on-chip thermocouple reference junction enhances accuracy in temperature measurement by canceling out cold junction effects, making it highly beneficial for thermocouple-based systems applied in HVAC, automotive, or process control systems.
Both the module and a test-for-function certificate are supplied with the DAQM901A to meet factory standards. The system supports mixed-channel configurations so the two-wire measurement (appropriate to the standard voltage and resistive) can be paired with four-wire measurement (best used in high-precision resistive measurement) in one instrument. The benefit to the setup process is reduced external signal conditioning.
