Agilent G4513A Automatic Liquid Sampler (ALS) is a precisely engineered automatic sample injection module for gas chromatography instruments. It may be used with Agilent GC instruments, such as the 8890, 8860, Intuvo 9000, 7890 Series, and 6890 Series instruments, in obtaining fast analysis with little or no operator intervention. G4513A is a principal component of the 7693A ALS system, which may be expanded with other modules, including the G4514A Sample Tray or G4515A Bar Code Reader/Mixer/Heater.
The G4513A injector module accepts two interchangeable turrets: a 16-position standalone turret for the direct placement of vials, and a 3-position transfer turret designed specifically for use with the G4514A Sample Tray, thus allowing sequential analysis of up to 150 samples. The standalone turret can be used to hold both solvent and waste bottles in addition to sample vials, while the transfer turret provides workflow efficiency by working in conjunction with the tray for automated vial handling. The system allows syringe volumes of 1 µL to 500 µL, with specialized syringes available for cool on-column injections suitable for 250 µm, 320 µm, or 530 µm columns.
Core operational features include programmable parameters for injection, such as air gap volume, viscosity delay, and multiple-layer sandwich injection enabling up to three layers of sample with interspersed air gaps. Users can program solvent and sample wash cycles for effective removal of carryover using adjustable wash speed and volume tailored by syringe size.
