NHR-9420 AC Power Source
The NHR-9420 AC power source from NH Research works as a programmable power unit. It delivers precision power conversion for advanced validation environments. It supports voltage ranges of 175 VRMS or 350 VRMS and 200 VDC or 400 VDC. It is available in six models with rated output power from 12 kW to 96 kW. The unit provides single phase split phase and three phase operation modes. It also supports full power DC output within the same seamless operating envelope. HiVAR technology eliminates nominal power de-rating under reactive load conditions. The frequency output range spans from 30 Hz to 880 Hz. The NHR-9420 maintains a constant power operating envelope across the entire voltage range. It integrates a high resolution waveform digitizer with oscilloscope display functionality. Precision ultra-low current measurements enable accurate standby and leakage testing. Six data channels measure three phase voltage and three phase current simultaneously.
The measurement bandwidth extends from DC to 100 kHz for detailed waveform capture. The sampling rate reaches up to 125 kSample per second. Internal memory stores 64 k samples for each of the six channels. The unit supports 13 aperture measurements including AC and DC voltage current and true power.The maximum current and minimum power thresholds are independently configurable. The isolation ratings specify 1 kV facility to chassis and 2 kV facility to output. Output to chassis is rated at 1 kV for enhanced safety margins.
The AC power source includes a physical user interlock and emergency stop circuit. A remote emergency stop connection enables integration into facility safety systems. A watchdog function continuously verifies communication integrity under test executive control. The internal protection mechanisms monitor over voltage over current over power and over temperature conditions. An automatic hardware self-test executes upon power up to validate system readiness. The built in 9-inch touch panel user interface provides direct manual control. The unit contains measurement data and waveform views that are displayed on the integrated screen.
The device also supports other IVI compliant languages for flexible system control. LAN Ethernet communication supports SCPI or VXI 11 protocols for remote operation. The NHR-9420 features improved power density with half the height of traditional AC sources. This compact mechanical design optimizes rack integration in high power domains.
