The Spirent SFP 1000BASE-LX/LH Optical Transceiver is a rugged, high-performance networking module to support Gigabit Ethernet applications over long distances using single-mode fiber. Operating on the 1310 nm wavelength, this transceiver provides data transmission up to 1.25 Gbps in a reliable manner and allows for a distance of up to 10 km using 9/125 µm SMF. In other terms, it is hot-swappable and MSA Compliant, meaning the MSA compatibility provides a flexible interfacing with a wide array of network devices. Because the device is designed in operation over extended temperature, therefore it's suitable in various commercial and industrial enviros.
This transceiver incorporates advanced features such as Fabry-Perot Laser transmitter and PIN Photodiode receiver with an associated trans-impedance amplifier. It also offers built-in Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM), providing real-time access to key operational parameters including temperature, voltage, laser bias current, and optical power. This functionality aids in proactive maintenance and performance optimization. With a low power consumption and the SFP form factor compactness, it allows integration into dense networking, ensuring low space requirements and decreased operational costs.
The Spirent SFP 1000BASE-LX/LH comes with full compatibility according to the IEEE 802.3 standard and, therefore, enjoys broad interoperability with Gigabit Ethernet equipment like switches and routers.
