Spirent CPR-2001B Gigabit Ethernet Test Module
The Spirent CPR-2001B Gigabit Ethernet test module features a versatile and high-density solution for performing comprehensive network testing on a variety of Ethernet interfaces. As part of the Spirent advanced Series 2000 modules, the Spirent CPR-2001B is designed to enable extensive functional, performance, and conformance testing at Layer 2 through Layer 7, thus making it suitable for both laboratory and production environments. The Spirent CPR-2001B is the high-density configuration of eight 10/100/1000 RJ-45 copper ports, making it a powerful tool for enterprise and service provider networks needing reliable device benchmarking capabilities.
The Spirent CPR-2001B allows users to conduct comprehensive functional testing, including data-plane performance analysis, routing protocol emulation, and application-layer testing. This device helps to effectively simulate and measure complex network conditions by supporting up to 32,767 customizable transmit streams per port and accommodating up to 65,535 incoming streams. This capability is especially needed for the testing of enterprise switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, and other high-traffic devices requiring accurate support for protocol and traffic handling. Hot-swappable components are designed into the Spirent CPR-2001B to ensure the continuity of network operations during maintenance or upgrades. Besides, the dual media interfaces make it easier for the Spirent CPR-2001B to switch between copper and fiber by offering full support for IPv4 and IPv6 and satisfying the requisites of modern-day network protocols.
In addition, the Spirent CPR-2001B includes hardware-based Variable Field Definition (VFD) technology that allows users to dynamically change packet fields to emulate specific network problems, thus increasing test coverage and enabling thorough negative testing. The Spirent CPR-2001B interfaces smoothly with Spirent TestCenter's automation suite, thus enabling the automated deployment of large-scale, multi-port test configurations easily. With the Spirent CPR-2001B, engineers can now control vast Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocol functions while Traffic parameters are customized to emulate on-real-world conditions in a lab environment. In addition, Spirent's Inspire Architecture greatly simplifies the usability of the Spirent CPR-2001B, allowing for fast configuration of complex test scenarios, improved test accuracy, and shortened time-to-market for network devices. Optimized for high throughput, the CPR-2001B from Spirent gives extensive real-time metrics, including jitter, latency, packet loss, and sequencing, required for analysis. The CPR-2001B from Spirent has HyperFilters technology, which allows it to give detailed traffic class and protocol tracking.
