Spirent SPT-2000A Network Testing Chassis
The Spirent SPT-2000A Portable Chassis is designed as a versatile, compact testing solution for network equipment in lab environments or on-site at customer locations. This 2U chassis offers up to two module slots with a variety of port configurations, including up to 24 Dual Media Ethernet ports, four 10GbE ports, two UniPHY ports, or WAN ports, to meet all kinds of diverse testing requirements. The SPT-2000A comes with hot-swappable modules, making it very easy to replace and upgrade operations without any interruption at all. Very compact in design, it is light at just 25 pounds and has a removable carrying handle for easy transportation and setup at any location.
The SPT-2000A is part of the Spirent TestCenter software suite and features an all-inclusive capability to carry out functional, conformance, and performance testing. The system can be used by equipment vendors and service providers alike to validate and demonstrate the performance of network equipment. Native support in the chassis allows large form factor modules and small form factor modules are supported using an optional ACC-2090B carrier card. Parallel downloads over the high-speed backplane further enhance the efficiency of system updates.
The SPT-2000A is designed to optimize resource utilization, allowing multiple users to operate on one module, and hence it is ideal in a collaborative environment. It works within a temperature range of 59°F to 104°F and comes with LED indicators on both the front and back panels for easy monitoring of the status. The connectivity options provide Ethernet ports with 10/100/1000 Mbps and extra ports for an external GPS receiver or CDMA receivers to enable flexible networking and synchronization options.
With its efficient application of power—100-120/220-240 VAC input to 500W DC output—the SPT-2000A can be implemented in a variety of test settings with controllable BTU needs (2500 BTU/h). Its remote management over an IP network simplifies operation and monitoring, and unifies administration across multiple chassis.
