The Keysight E1326B is a 5.5-digit autoranging multimeter designed specifically for high-speed VXI-based industrial test systems. It is configured as a B-size 2-slot register-based VXI module that integrates with E1300/01B mainframes. The model is capable of reaching a maximum reading rate of 13,000 readings per second. The DC voltage and four-wire resistance measurements both achieve 13,000 rdgs/s when operating at the 10 μs aperture. At the 320 ms and 267 ms apertures, the DC voltage reading rate reduces to 3 and 3.5 readings/s. The AC voltage operates at a fixed reading rate of 1.9 rdgs/s across the full aperture range.
The E1326B 5.5 Digit Multimeter delivers resolution from ± 14 binary bits at 10 μs to ± 22 bits at 320 ms. In decimal terms, this translates to 4 digits at 10 μs and 6.5 digits at longer apertures. The model delivers ± 18 binary bits of resolution, equating to 5.5 decimal digits at the 2.5 ms aperture. The 100 μs aperture setting provides ± 15 binary bits and 4.5 decimal digits suited for moderate-speed measurements.
The multimeter integrates a built-in timer and programmable synchronization system for precise sequencing control. The internal timer is programmable across a range of 76 μs to 65.5 ms with a 2 μs resolution. The programmable measurement delay supports a span from 40 μs to 16 seconds at a resolution of 2 μs. The external triggering accepts input pulses as narrow as 100 ns with a supported maximum trigger rate of 5 kHz.
The four-wire resistance measurements on the multimeter span five measurement ranges from 256 Ω up to 1 MΩ. The lowest two ranges of 256 Ω and 2 kΩ operate with a source current of 488 μA per range. The ranges of 16 kΩ and 131 kΩ use a source current of 61 μA to reduce power dissipation during measurement. The 1 MΩ range applies 7.6 μA, and all five ranges share a maximum open circuit voltage of 11.5 V.
