Keysight/Agilent E1352A 32-Channel Single-Ended FET Multiplexer
The Keysight E1352A 32-Channel Single-Ended FET Multiplexer is used to provide fast switching performance for advanced VXI testing domains. It uses a 1-slot B-size register-based architecture for compact instrumentation integration.
The E1352A can be used with digital multimeters to scan up to 13,000 channels per second while testing. During automated acquisition procedures the downloaded scan lists further aids to deliver switching speeds up to 100,000 switches per second. The unit has dedicated pathways internally for voltage current and resistance measurements.
The input voltage ranges for the DC input between the terminals or chassis are 16 V peak at controlled operating conditions, and no instability problem is encountered. For repetitive acquisition procedures, the maximum current level for each non-inductive channel common is a maximum of 1 mA without any reliability concerns.
The E1352A FET multiplexer has a differential thermal offset of less than 25 mV between 0 °C and 28 °C. While in service, the closed-channel resistance of less than 3.1 k-Ohms maintains a stable signal transfer between connected instrumentation interfaces. The insulation resistance between isolated points reaches 10E8 ohms, supporting dependable electrical isolation throughout precision testing procedures continuously. Guard-to-chassis insulation resistance maintains 10³ ohms with ±10% tolerance during integrated measurement system operations reliably.
The power-off insulation resistance exceeds 1 k-Ohms when input voltage levels remain below 14 V during operation. It remains above 220 Ohms when input voltage levels exceed 14 V during operation. The field-effect transistor relays provide consistent switching stability during repetitive automated testing procedures requiring reliable channel management. The break-before-make relay architecture prevents channel engagement during high-speed switching sequences.
The E1352A Multiplexer maintains open FET states during complete power-down conditions for system protection reliability. It initializes with open FET pathways during startup sequences, preventing unintended signal routing issues. The relay lifespan remains unlimited under unloaded operating conditions, supporting continuous deployment in testing.
The P1 connectors provide interfacing between external instrumentation systems and installed multiplexer circuitry during operational integration procedures. The shared memory resources remain unnecessary because register-based communication manages operational data transfer requirements efficiently during testing.
