Keysight/Agilent E1366A VXI RF Multiplexer
The E1366A Dual 1 x 4 RF Multiplexer switches registers between two RF broadband instruments. It enables independent multiplexing paths in single-slot architectures. The unit can switch signals between frequencies up to a maximum of 1.3 GHz. BNC connector interfaces ensure reliable signal integrity throughout measurement methodologies and controlled verification environments.
The two independent 1x4 multiplexers for organized routing of multiple high-frequency instrumentation channels are included in the module. Off-channel termination capability minimizes unwanted reflections when transmitting sensitive signals and when conducting complex automatic testing.
The RF multiplexer is designed for use in VXI systems in A16 slave mode. The single-slot installation makes integration in highly packed racks in which both measurement and communication test equipment are installed easier. The maximum operating voltage can be safely applied across the center conductor shields and the ground points of the chassis. The continuous DC and AC operating current of each channel is 1A, with reliable performance. The module handles maximum power ratings reaching 24 W during direct current switching and routing applications. Alternating current power handling reaches 24 VA without affecting switching stability or relay operating consistency characteristics.
The closed channel resistance remains below 1 ohm initially and below 3 ohms throughout relay operational lifecycles. Low resistance characteristics improve electrical continuity during repetitive switching sequences involving precision measurement instrumentation applications. The insertion loss performance remains below 0.3 dB during frequencies lower than 10 MHz specified operational conditions. Signal insertion loss remains below 1.5 dB during frequencies reaching 500 MHz industrial operating environments consistently.
The crosstalk performance remains below negative 90 dB during frequencies lower than 10 MHz operational conditions. Channel isolation is found to be below -80 dB during frequencies reaching 100 MHz terminated switching configurations reliably. The E1366A radio frequency multiplexer maintains terminated channel crosstalk below negative 60 dB. Voltage standing wave ratio remains below 1.2 during frequencies lower than 10 MHz operating conditions. The thermal offset performance remains limited to 6 mV during closed channel operational measurement configurations consistently. The multiplexer includes P1 connectors supporting reliable VXI backplane communication. Register-based construction allows command execution procedures during synchronized switching operations.
