Keysight/Agilent E1410A 6.5-Digit Multimeter
The Keysight E1410A is a 6.5-digit high-accuracy multimeter designed for industrial and automated test applications. It is a one-slot VXI instrument that supports all measurement types from front panel terminals. The model measures DC voltage, AC voltage, AC+DC voltage, 2-wire and 4-wire resistance, frequency, period, and temperature. Both autorange functionality and manually specified measurement ranges are available for every supported function on this unit.
The Keysight multimeter uses an integration-based analog-to-digital converter that processes all incoming analog signals into digital values. This integration method provides normal mode noise rejection at power line frequency multiples. A dedicated GUARD terminal on the model enhances common mode noise rejection in shielded measurement configurations. The digital measurement data can be routed to the output buffer or stored in the multimeter's internal memory.
The 6.5-digit E1410A multimeter provides five selectable ranges spanning from 30 mV to 300 V for DC voltage measurements. The maximum non-destructive input across all terminal combinations is 300 V DC and 300 V AC RMS. The AC peak non-destructive limit reaches 450 V across every terminal pair configuration on this instrument. The offset compensation is available for resistance measurements, and autozero applies across all measurement functions.
The multimeter achieves common mode rejection exceeding 80 dB in guarded DC to 60 Hz configurations. The unguarded operation still delivers common mode rejection greater than 50 dB under the same frequency conditions. The crest factor for all AC measurements is rated at 3.5 when operating at 100% of full scale. These noise rejection values support reliable measurement integrity in demanding industrial electromagnetic environments.
The frequency measurement on the E1410A 6.5-Digit Multimeter spans 10 Hz to 1.5 MHz using reciprocal counting for constant input resolution. The period range extends from 0.1 seconds down to 667 nanoseconds across the supported input spectrum. The input impedance for frequency and period modes is 1 MΩ ± 1% with capacitance specified below 90 pF. The triggering occurs at zero crossings, and sine wave input sensitivity is rated at 10 mV RMS. The internal RAM on the multimeter stores up to 4096 readings at all aperture settings.
