The Keysight E1437A VXI 20 MSa/s 23-bit Digitizer is engineered for high-precision digitizing in time and frequency domain measurement applications. The model is built in a C-size form factor that fits a single VXI mainframe slot. It operates as a register/message-based VXI device with support for both VME and local bus.
The E1437A digitizer provides a single-channel 50-ohm input with a voltage range from 20 mV to 10.24 V peak. It delivers exceptional fidelity across its full dynamic range with 23 bits of raw ADC resolution. The spurious-free dynamic range reaches up to -110 dBFS to ensure accurate and high-fidelity signal capture. A noise density of -140 dBFS/Hz supports reliable precision measurements in demanding test and measurement environments.
The input bandwidth extends to 40 MHz when the E1437A digitizer operates without the analog alias protection filter engaged. With the alias filter active, the protected input bandwidth is rated at 8 MHz for clean signal acquisition. The two standard sample clocks are included in the model to accommodate a variety of timing and signal acquisition requirements. The local bus data transfer rates reach up to 60 MB/sec to support efficient high-throughput data movement.
The E1437A digitizer integrates one analog alias protection filter and 24 frequency-tunable digital filters as standard equipment. These filters allow the sampling bandwidth to be varied from 8 MHz down to below 1 Hz. The bandwidth adjustments proceed in octave steps to provide precise and granular control over the frequency domain. The real-time digital processing through these filters reduces noise and improves the signal-to-noise ratio during acquisition.
The Keysight E1437A VXI Digitizer provides 8 MB of onboard FIFO memory as standard for buffering data during continuous acquisition. An optional 64 MB memory configuration is available for extended data capture in long-duration test operations. The flexible triggering and synchronization options enable precise coordination and timing across complex multi-instrument test setups.
