Keysight/Agilent E1439C Digitizer with DSP, Memory and 70MHz IF Input
The E1439C Digitizer from Keysight (formerly from Agilent) comes with DSP Memory and 70 MHz IF Input for signal acquisition. It functions with a 95 MSa/s sampling rate and 70 MHz intermediate frequency with 36 MHz bandwidth. The input uses BNC connector 50 ohm impedance AC-DC coupling and anti-alias filtering. The baseband input range of the unit spans from -36 dBm to +12 dBm in one decibel steps. The digitizer features 18-megabyte RAM FIFO memory expandable up to 1.2 gigabyte storage capacity. It provides internal clock frequency and external reference support for stable sampling synchronization operation.
The E1439C Digitizer works with an internal clock accuracy of ±7 ppm from 0 to 40 degree Celsius. It includes 17 octave decimation filter steps ranging from 40 MHz to 305 Hz. These filters maintain less than 0.215 dB ripple and include software correction capability for precision signal shaping. The digital local oscillator offers tuning resolution of less than 0.01 Hz for extremely precise frequency control. The module can be operated in multiple channels and is compatible with VXI plug and play for system level integration.
The mainframe skew of the multi module sampling skew is less than 10ns in uncorrected mode. The data communication to instrumentation systems with high speed data output is available through a VXI bus output in the unit. The ADC is designed to operate at 0 dBFS overload for accurate conversion without distortion. The system provides a return loss of greater than 9 dB in the IF path from 52 MHz to 88 MHz. The baseband return loss is over 15 dB which ensures stable impedance matching and signal quality. The external sample clock is a baseband only clock operating from 10 MHz to 102.4 MHz. High stability acquisition performance is ensured on per measurement cycle basis with internal sample clock. The Digitizer operates within a temperature range from 0 to 55 degree Celsius for controlled environments. The IF input range is from 5.02 mVp to 1.26 Vp with 1 dB steps and it provides control of amplitude to within the nearest 1 dB.
