Keysight/Agilent E1453A Timing Pod for E1450A
The E1453A Timing Pod from Keysight/Agilent is designed to enhance the accuracy of measurements with the E1450A Timing Module. It provides up to 2 meters of distance between the device being tested and the front panel. The average power dissipation of the pod is 32 Watts with a required airflow of 2.8 liters per second. The sequencer of the timing pod supports a memory depth of 65,536 vectors allowing multiple test sequences to co reside in memory. The functions such as timing cycle selection and stopping points are programmable on a cycle by cycle basis. The markers and trigger arming are also available as sequencer control functions for precise test management. The breakpoints can be set per cycle to halt execution at any defined point in a sequence.
The minimum timing cycle duration of the timing pod is 50 ns or 4 subcycles and the maximum is 1,024 subcycles. The subcycle period ranges from a minimum of 6.25 ns to a maximum of 409.6 µs. The subcycle period resolution is 6.25 ns with timing accuracy maintained at 0.01 % across the full range. Up to 256 timing cycles are supported with a total combined length not exceeding 1,024 Subcycles.
The E1453A Timing Pod delivers a maximum continuous output current of ± 24 mA per line to the DUT. The high open circuit output is rated at 4.3 V minimum and high sourcing voltage is 3.7 V minimum. The low open circuit output is 0.1 V maximum and the low sinking voltage at 24 mA is 0.44 V maximum. The output capacitance with all outputs disabled is less than 15 pF typical per line.
The trigger to output latency of the timing pod varies based on the trigger source selected for operation. The VXI TTL source produces a latency range of 99 ns minimum to 113 ns maximum to the outputs. The front panel ECL achieves the lowest latency of 94 ns minimum and 106 ns maximum to the outputs. The pod TTL trigger source produces a latency range of 106 ns minimum to 119 ns maximum.
