Keysight/Agilent E1467A 8 x 32 Relay Matrix Switch
The Keysight/Agilent E1467A Relay Matrix Switch operates as an 8 x 32 two wire switching matrix independently controlling each crosspoint on both high and low lines. It is designed for demanding large scale matrix switching requirements in automated test and measurement systems. Its register based design enables reliable and programmable control over all matrix crosspoints with deterministic switching performance. The matrix switch includes downloadable channel list functionality that stores switching sequences directly into onboard module memory. This onboard memory capability reduces external controller dependency and supports faster execution of repetitive switching sequences. A QUIC easy to use terminal block is included with the model to simplify field wiring connections. The switch accommodates screw terminal wire sizes ranging from 18 to 26 AWG for flexible conductor compatibility.
The E1467A Relay Matrix Switch employs latching armature relays that achieve a channel closure time of 8.9 ms. The relay contacts remain in their last switching state when the system enters a power down condition. Upon power up all relay contacts on the model return to the open state by default. The relay service life is rated at 5 × 10? operations under no load and 10? operations under rated load. The switch from Keysight/Agilent supports a maximum DC input voltage of 200 V between any terminal and chassis. AC rms voltage input is rated to 170 V with a maximum peak voltage tolerance of 238 Vpp. The maximum non inductive current per channel common is rated at 1 A for both DC and AC peak. The per channel power capacity is 30 Watts and the module level power rating is 62.5 VA under resistive loading.
The DC thermal offset per channel is limited to 5 µV maximum on a Hi-Lo differential basis. The initial closed channel resistance of the switch is below 4.0 Ω worst case and below 1.8 Ω at the best crosspoint. The end of life resistance on the E1467A remains below 10.0 Ω to maintain signal integrity over service life. The insulation resistance between any two points exceeds 10? Ω at or below 25 °C and 40% relative humidity.
