The Fluke 189 True RMS Multimeter has a CAT III 1000V / CAT IV 600 V protection rating, which means it will keep the meter and the user safe. On the Fluke 189 True RMS Digital Multimeter, the majority of measurement functions can be chosen through the rotary switch. Functions associated with frequency, such as pulse width, duty cycle, and Hz, can be chosen when the rotary switch is in the amps or volts setting. When any dc volts function is chosen, the Fluke 189 can show both ac and dc parts of a signal independently or together as an ac + dc rms value.
