Keithley 2700 Multimeter/Data Acquisition/Switch System
The Keithley 2700 is an integrated multifunctional tool that can be used in both demanding industrial applications as well as for the most complex scientific research applications; it provides everything needed to measure, record and control in a compact design (1/2 rack). The Keithley 2700 is designed to provide engineers and technicians with a single source for a wide range of measurement functions, including precision digital multimeters, a high-resolution scanner and a data logging system, thus providing a low-cost solution by eliminating the need to configure separate instruments for each function.
A total of two plug-in switch and control modules may be installed on the Keithley 2700, thereby providing flexibility in the number of channels required for each application. When utilizing these modules, the system is able to manage a maximum of eighty differential input channels, which provides high-density measurements at 300 V of isolation. The Keithley 2700 also provides true 6.5-digit resolution and includes a complete range of measurement functions such as DC/AC voltage and current, two-wire and four-wire resistance, frequency and period and temperature (using thermocouples, rtds or thermistors). It also has a fast scan capability of over five hundred channels per second to its internal memory, which will greatly increase test throughput in automated production testing, process monitoring and device characterization.
For the purpose of connecting to other devices or systems and for controlling the 2700, it is equipped with GPIB and RS-232 interfaces. In addition, Keithley supplies a large suite of software drivers for many different programming languages, including LabView, LabWindows/CVI and Visual Basic. These allow for easy and rapid application development. The front panel of the 2700 is simple to use, allowing for quick manual setup and troubleshooting. The rear-panel modular connectors are well-suited for use in permanent automated systems. The Keithley 2700 is an excellent choice for a wide variety of applications where there is a need for reliable, multiplexed measurements and central control, ranging from electronic production lines to R&D laboratories.
