Keysight/Agilent 44475A BreadBoard Module
The 44475A BreadBoard Module from Keysight is a configurable device for custom circuit integration. It supports low-voltage component mounting within compatible switching and control systems. The module operates within a maximum voltage rating of 42 V DC. It also supports 30 V AC RMS for stable operation. These limits define safe use in low-voltage control and measurement interfaces. The 44475A breadboard unit provides two available component areas for flexible circuit placement. One usable area measures 104 mm x 74 mm for larger layouts. The second area measures 79 mm x 74 mm for additional circuit construction. The unit uses grid holes with a 1.17 mm inside diameter. The grid hole spacing is 2.54 mm x 2.54 mm from center to center. This standard spacing supports common through-hole components and manual wiring practices. The component height above the board is limited to 12.7 mm or 0.5 inch. This limit helps maintain mechanical clearance after module installation inside the instrument. The component selection for the unit must account for body height and insulation spacing. It can be used to design and build special functions for the system, including filters and amplifiers within a controlled and structured environment.
The lead length below the board is limited to 3.2 mm or 0.125 inch. This clearance requirement helps prevent unwanted contact beneath the circuit board. Proper trimming is required after soldering components into the grid holes.
For field wiring connections, the unit uses the 44485A screw terminal block accessory. This accessory provides 22 terminals for connecting external wiring to the custom circuit. Screw terminal access supports practical wiring during bench setup and system maintenance. It also reduces improvised connection methods during installation. The Keysight 44475 A breadboard module is suitable when standard plug-in modules cannot match a custom interface requirement. It can hold conditioning networks and routing circuits designed for a specific test fixture.
