Keysight/Agilent U2931A RF Switch Driver
The Keysight/Agilent U2931A is an RF switch driver adapter board designed for the digital IO device. It enables controlled RF switching in small and low cost multi source test systems. It supports simultaneous signal routing across multiple RF switches within a structured test configuration. The model provides five dedicated RF switch driver channels along with one general purpose IO terminal. Each of the five channels is preprogrammed to drive three specific types of Keysight RF switches. The supported switch types include the Keysight 8762/63/64 coaxial switches and the microwave 8765x SPDT switches.
The RF Switch Driver delivers a maximum driving current of 300 mA per individual RF switch channel. The total current output capacity across all five channels is rated at a maximum of 1500 mA. The general IO section provides three digital inputs and three digital outputs for auxiliary control tasks. The model measures 150 mm x 72 mm and is well suited for space constrained test installations. The switch driver supports simultaneous control and monitoring of up to five RF switches at one time. A programmable DIO power up configuration allows storage and recall of predefined RF switch states. The integrated watchdog timer provides a reliable fail safe mechanism to preserve known switch states during system interruptions. The model supports both fail safe and latching relay switch types to accommodate a range of switching requirements.
The Keysight/Agilent U2931A is supplied with bundled software simplify the initial setup process. A graphical user interface enables real time monitoring of up to five channels without requiring additional software purchases. The software operation of the driver requires Keysight IO Libraries Suite version 15.0 or higher to be installed. The U2121A IVI Driver version 1.0.9.0 or higher must also be present for proper device operation. The Keysight VEE Runtime version 8.5 or higher is required to enable full programmatic control functionality. The Microsoft .NET Framework versions 1.1 and 2.0 are both required components of the supported software environment.
