National Instruments 781120-01 Voltage Output Module

Part Number 781120-01 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments sbRIO-9269 Voltage Output Module. The 781120-01 features 4 analog output channels that connect to an R-2R type DAC with a resolution of 16 bits. Each channel can operate within a voltage range of ±10 V and can drive a maximum current of ± 10 mA. 
Note that the maximum output current of all channels cannot exceed ± 20 mA.  However, by cascading the four voltage output channels, a maximum output voltage range of ±40 V can be achieved. During both power-on and 
power-down, the output is set to the high impedance state. The startup voltage is 0 V (there is a glitch for 5 µs peaking at –900 mV) whereas the output impedance is 100 mΩ. 

The 781120-01 weighs 1.7 oz and has a power consumption of up to 1 W from the chassis in active mode and up to 120 μW in sleep mode. On the other hand, the thermal dissipation reaches a maximum of 1.4 W in active mode 
and a 77 mW max in sleep mode. The module supports screw-terminal wires of sizes 12 to 24 AWG. Furthermore, the torque on the screw terminals should range from 0.5 to 0.6 Nm.

The module has a recommended operating and storage temperature ranges of -40 to 85 °C.  Likewise, the operating and storage humidity ranges are 10 to 90% RH and 5 to 95 % RH respectively. Furthermore, it is 
necessary to understand that these devices are to be used within a maximum altitude of 2000 m and only in indoor settings. For outdoor use, it should be installed inside a suitable enclosure. 

The 781120-01 module has been designed to comply with the electrical safety standards: IEC 61010-1, EN 61010-1, UL 61010-1, and CSA 61010-1. Furthermore, the module has safety features such as short-circuit protection 
and overvoltage protection which are incorporated to ensure the safety of the module as well as connected loads. For safe operation, the voltages between channel-to-channel and channel-to-earth should be 250 Vrms continuous.
