Part Number 783107-01 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments NI-9242 Voltage Input Module. This device is used in advanced data acquisition and control applications because of its measurement-specific signal conditioning, multiple isolation options like bank-to-bank, channel-to-channel, and channel-to-earth ground, wide operating temperature range, and hot swap capabilities. 

The 783107-01 features three channels for measurement between the signal and the neutral channel and the neutral channel allows measurement between the neutral terminal and the chassis ground.  This means the user can connect single-phase or three-phase measurement configurations like delta and WYE. Using the LabVIEW Electrical Power Suite, which is compatible with both CompactRIO and CompactDAQ systems, it is easier to develop power monitoring, metering, and quality analysis applications. 

The 783107-01 features 4 analog input channels with simultaneous sampling mode and contains both analog and digital filtering. The ADC used in the module is of Delta-sigma type, has analog prefiltering, and has a resolution of 24 bits.  Using the internal timebase of 12.8 MHz, a maximum data rate of 50 kS/s can be achieved. On the other hand, using an external timebase can increase the data rate to 51.2 kS/s. 

The 783107-01 can handle signal levels up to 250 Vrms L-N and 400 Vrms L-L. The input noise can reach up to 3 mVrms. When in active mode, the chassis consumes a maximum of 332 mW whereas the thermal dissipation may reach a maximum of 582 mW. On the other hand, in sleep mode, a maximum of 50 µW is consumed whereas the maximum thermal dissipation may reach 250 mW. For safety purposes, make sure that the maximum working voltage in the channel-to-earth ground is within 250 Vrms continuous. 

The 783107-01 weighs 5.3 oz and is recommended for indoor use only. The recommended operating temperature range for the module is -40 °C to 70 °C at a humidity of 10% RH to 90% RH. On the other hand, the module is meant to be stored at a temperature range of -40 °C to 85 °C at 5% RH to 95% RH.
