National Instruments 785190-02 Voltage Input Module

National Instruments part number 785190-02 is the version of the NI-9264 Voltage Input Module with spring terminal connectors that is conformal coated. This coating shields the module against external elements and environmental conditions that are potentially damaging. 

Each of the 16 output channels of the 785190-02 contain a ground connection, and each channel is connected to a 36-position connector. When in active mode, the power consumption of the module does not exceed 1 W, and this consumption reduces significantly to a maximum of 25 μW when the module is in sleep mode. The thermal dissipation for the 785190-02 in both active and sleep modes remains within these power limits.

The wire gauge of the 785190-02's push-in, spring-terminal wiring ranges from 0.14 mm² to 1.5 mm² (26 AWG to 16 AWG). To provide solid and secure electrical connections, a 10 mm (0. 394 in.) strip of insulation is cut from the end of each wire before it is connected using screw flanges. While the 785190-02 features only one wire per spring terminal, two wires per terminal can be used with the assitance of a 2-wire ferrule. The torque applied to the screw flanges holding the wires in place is 0.2 N · m (1.80 lb · in.).

When it comes to stability, the 785190-02 exhibits a gain drift of 6 ppm/°C as well as an offset drift of 80 μV/°C. The module features protections against overvoltage up to ±27 V at 25 °C (77 °F).
