NI-9381, 12 Bits, 8 AI, 8 AO, 4 DIO, C Series Multifunction I/O Module
National Instruments NI-9381 C Series Multifunction I/O Module
The NI-9381 (Part Numbers: 782580-01, 782580-02, 153475B-01L) is a C Series Multifunction I/O Module. The only difference between the two part numbers is that part number 782580-01 is not conformal coated, while part number 782580-02 is conformal coated. The simple hardware on the NI 9381 is a multiplexed design that offers a solitary planning motor. The NI 9381 works with the CompactRIO platform. Several other characteristics of the NI 9381 module include 8 Analog Inputs, 8 Analog Outputs, 4 Digital I/O lines, and a 12-bit analog input resolution. This module comes with DSUB connectivity and 4 LVTTL lines, with a 1 MHz update rate.
It is possible to set the most extreme quantifiable point of the signal. When the counter provides an estimation of zero, it means that the information signal point is not as fast as this esteem. If the signal is reduced or it is not increased in comparison to past estimations, it is advisable to utilize this characteristic to obtain new information. If the user wants to turn down this component, then they can set the most extreme quantifiable time to zero. The counter will continue estimating until a substantial estimation is identified, the counter floods, or the counter is stopped by the user. The NI device can be programmed using software packages such as LabVIEW Professional Development System for Windows, NI LabVIEW FPGA Module, and NI LabVIEW Real-Time Module.
On the NI-9381 C Series Multifunction I/O Module, the counter initiates the pulse estimation because of the management of the counter arm. To measure, it waits to receive the dynamic edge on the signal, then it starts estimating the signal’s big and small circumstances. Right after the counter has analyzed the first received signal time frame, the estimation information will be prepared and legitimate. Just before the principal estimation is prepared, the counter will provide an estimation of zero for the higher and lower points. The NI device has a power requirement of up to 600 mW when active, and 1 mW maximum when in sleep mode.
The NI-9381 weighs 5.1 oz. It has recommended operating and storage temperature ranges of -40 °C to 70 °C and -40 °C to 85 °C respectively.
The NI-9381 is available to be calibrated. While the recommended calibration period for individual parts varies, most parts should be calibrated either annually or every two years to ensure accuracy. If you need the NI-9381 calibrated, Apex Waves provides options. We offer high-quality NIST accredited calibrations through a 3rd party, with an average turnaround time of 1 to 2 weeks. When you order the NI-9381 with us, you can request basic (unaccredited) in-house calibration that will calibrate the part to the manufacturer specifications prior to being shipped. Call or email us today for more information about calibrating the NI-9381!
