National Instruments sbRIO-9208 C Series Current Input Module

The sbRIO-9208 (Part Number: 780979-01), manufactured by National Instruments, is a C Series Current Input Module. The sbRIO-9208 module offers 16 single-ended analog input channels with a sampling rate of 500 S/s. The NI sbRIO-9208 has an input current range of ±20 mA. The sbRIO-9208 module has a Delta-Sigma 24-bit analog-to-digital conversion (ADC) resolution. The NI sbRIO-9208 Current Input Module is designed particularly for industrial applications. One of the distinct features of the sbRIO-9208 is the high-resolution mode. In this mode, the sbRIO-9208 improves signal conditioning by removing undesired low-frequency noise signals.

The sbRIO-9208 C Series Current Input Module is available with D-SUB tye front connections. The D-SUB connector contains 37 pins for 16 analog current input channels. The NI sbRIO-9208 module contains V_sup pin connections through which the module can be connected to an external power supply. The external power supply can have maximum electrical parameters of 30V and 2A. The sbRIO-9208 Current Input Module has a powerful feature of high channel density operation. This feature minimizes the requirement of the number of modules, thereby reducing the overall cost.

The National Instruments sbRIO-9208 C Series Current Input Module has a safety level of ±30 V voltage between any channel and COM. This overvoltage can be withstood only at one channel at a time. In case of isolation, the NI sbRIO-9208 module can protect the overvoltage of 60 VDC channel-to-earth ground. During operation, the sbRIO-9208 module consumes up to 282 mW power in active mode. While in sleep mode, the consumption is up to 25 µW.
