National Instruments sbRIO-9860 C Series Vehicle Multiprotocol Interface Module
The National Instruments sbRIO-9860 (Part Number: 787325-01) is a 2-Port C Series Vehicle Multiprotocol Interface Module for developing LIN and/or CAN applications. This module comes from National Instruments C Series and supports multiple protocols. The NI sbRIO-9860 is a hardware-selectable module that works well for applications where hundreds of signals and frames need to be manipulated at a high-speed. This module is part of the NI-XNET family.
The NI sbRIO-9860 C Series Vehicle Multiprotocol Interface Module has the capability to detect and identify the type of connected transceiver cable. Thus, the user can select the desired bus protocol by plugging in the right transceiver cable. The two ports on the sbRIO-9860 are used to connect to the CAN or LIN bus through transceiver cables.
Moreover, this module has a two-position power supply connector provided to connect to the external power supply. This C Series Vehicle Multiprotocol Interface Module requires a +9 V to +30 V external power supply to power the attached CAN or LIN transceiver cables. The NI sbRIO-9860 module is designed to support hot swapping for transceiver cables. The National Instruments sbRIO-9860 is a non-enclosed Vehicle Multiprotocol Interface Module, which offers embedded monitoring and low-level FPGA control in the same single-board CompactRIO Controller. The non-enclosed construction of this module makes it an ideal solution for OEM applications. The power connector incorporated in the NI sbRIO-9860 module has an active internal latch. You can power the module by inserting the power supply cable into the two-position power connector.
