The Vehicle Strain and Load Bundle captures extensive strain and load data from bridge-type sensor-based measurements made in the field of a real-world vehicle, assisting in developing accurate computer-aided engineering models and ensuring automotive components meet their design requirements. The Vehicle Strain and Load Bundle is specifically designed to assist engineers in determining whether automotive components are operating as expected.
The Vehicle Strain and Load Bundle contains all of the required hardware components needed to provide a comprehensive measurement solution. The Bundle utilizes a CompactDAQ chassis, which enables engineers to control the timing, synchronize, and facilitate data transfer between the attached C Series I/O modules and a host computer. The NI-9860 is a vehicle multiprotocol interface module that allows engineers to develop CAN- and LIN-based applications utilizing the NIXNET platform. The NI-9237 is a four-channel C Series input module that provides signal conditioning to enable simultaneous measurement of the signals from up to four bridge-type sensors. This module allows engineers to obtain either strain or load measurements without any inter-channel phase delay. It ensures safe operation and maintain signal integrity while rejecting high levels of common mode noise.
Automotive engineers use the Vehicle Strain and Load Bundle to obtain physical measurements during automotive testing and utilize the synchronized measurements obtained by the bundle to verify the performance of automotive components. In addition to obtaining synchronized measurements, the 866576-04 works in concert with powerful analysis tools such as LabVIEW or DIAdem to allow engineers to thoroughly analyze the measured strain and load data, thereby creating a single digital thread of information throughout the product lifecycle.
