National Instruments DAQCard-1200 Multifunction I/O Card

The DAQCard-1200 is a Multifunction I/O Card designed for the PCMCIA bus. The DAQCard-1200 was created by National Instruments. The NI DAQCard-1200 is a member of the NI-1200 family. This card is available in two versions with separate part numbers, depending upon the type of operating system to be used. The DAQCard-1200 has part number 777087-01 for Windows operating systems, whereas the part number for the Mac version is 777087-02. NI-DAQ driver software is required to operate the card. The NI DAQCard-1200 is compatible with Windows versions NT/2000/9x. The DAQCard-1200 can be installed on multiple types of application software such as LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, VirtualBench, and Lookout. This card can be used with compatible computers that have a PCMCIA Type II PC Card socket.

This Multifunction I/O Card is designed with multifunction inputs and outputs. The DAQCard-1200 can provide a sampling rate up to 100 kS/s for one channel. The National Instruments DAQCard-1200 is featured with 4 differential or 8 single-ended analog input channels with the resolution of 12-bits. The NI DAQCard-1200 additionally has two analog voltage output channels with 12-bit resolution. There are also three timers/counters of 16-bit, 8 MHz, along with 24 digital I/O channels. The device has a recommended warm-up time of 15 minutes. It requires 150 mA of power when in operation, and 50 mA when in power-down mode at +5 VDC.

The National Instruments DAQCard-1200 contains a 50-pin male I/O connector. This Multifunction I/O Card is manufactured with two D-Sub connectors, including a cable for ports that is one meter in length. There are two-port connectors built on the rear panel of the card. The NI DAQCard-1200 is equipped with digital triggering options. The input coupling style for the Multifunction I/O Card is DC.

The NI device measures 3.37 x 2.13 in. in physical dimensions. It has a recommended operating temperature range of 0 to 50 °C, a storage temperature range of –55 to 150 °C, and a non-condensing relative humidity range of 5% to 90%. The Multifunction I/O Card is designed to comply with the following electrical safety standards: EN 61010-1:1993/A2:1995, IEC 61010-1:1990/A2:1995, UL 3111-1:1994, and CAN/CSA c22.2 no. 1010.1:1992/A2:1997.
