778348-01, 24 Bit Resolution, 8 Analog Input, PCI-4472 Sound and Vibration Device
National Instruments 778348-01 Sound and Vibration Device
The National Instruments 778348-01 Sound and Vibration Device is a component within the PCI-4472 Model Series. It guarantees unmatched precision for activities involving vibration and audio analysis due to its eight analog inputs, each of which has a 24-bit resolution ADC. Accurate data collection is ensured for accelerometers and microphones by integrated electronic piezoelectric (IEPE) signal conditioning.
The 778348-01 reduces the need for extra external filters by preventing aliasing using integrated anti-aliasing filters that adapt automatically to the sampling rate. To improve signal quality even more, it also has real-time digital and analog filters. As a result, measurements are exact and free of distortion and artifacts.
Pretrigger and posttrigger are the two trigger modes this device supports, allowing users to record signals either before or after a trigger event occurs. A trigger may come from an external digital trigger input, an analog input channel, or software control, among other sources.
Multiple 778348-01 devices can be synced using the PXI star trigger bus for applications that demand high channel counts. In order to maintain phase consistency in cross-channel measurements, this synchronization guarantees less than 1 ns of skew between modules.
The 778348-01 has complete DMA bus-master capabilities and effective data transfer rates via PCI mini-MITE. A 1,024-sample analog input FIFO prevents latency-related data loss.
This device operates via NI-DAQmx and can be easily integrated with Measurement Studio, LabWindows/CVI, and NI LabVIEW software. Furthermore, it may be used with the NI Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite and Toolkit to perform a variety of analyses, such as order extraction, frequency responses, and power spectra.
The unbalanced differential design of analog input channels has a peak input signal range of ±10 V. The gadget offers flexible trigger choices, such as customizable voltage levels and slopes, and supports both AC and DC connections. Furthermore, a variety of triggering mechanisms are guaranteed by its digital trigger compatibility with 5 V TTL/CMOS.
