National Instruments NI-5731 Digitizer Adapter Module for FlexRIO
The NI-5731 (Part number: 781657-02) is a Digitizer Adapter Module for FlexRIO designed by National Instruments. This module becomes a high-speed digitizer when joined with a PXI FPGA Module for FlexRIO. The NI 5731 can concurrently sample two channels. These channels can operate at 40 MS/s. Individuals experience high-performance with the NI–5731 since it can perform actual processing and streaming of analog data. This is done with enhanced Analog to Digital Converters. The NI-5731 also contains bypass hardware filters, a Bessel, and selectable elliptic. This Digitizer Adapter Module for FlexRIO is perfect for applications which involve high data streaming rates and is suitable for deployed high-performance solutions, as well as in-line data processing.
The NI-5731 module offers flexible measurement competencies and the assistance of hardware customization through a user-programmable FPGA. The NI-5731 can provide a higher dynamic range at 12 bits of resolution. This is much better than an 8-bit oscilloscope. It also provides sufficient bandwidth to get a multiple of common signals on two simultaneously sampled channels. The NI-5731 has a 2 Vpp input range and 50 Ω input impedance. This module is structured with 0 dB, 6 dB, or 12 dB programmable gain. All these characteristics enable the NI 5731 to provide the maximum dynamic range for low-amplitude signals.
This Digitizer Adapter Module for FlexRIO comes with external reduction, which enables the module to securely gain larger voltages. A selectable Bessel filter decreases the group delay over the input bandwidth and is used for time-domain applications. The NI-5731 also has an elliptic filter, which increases flat bandwidth and is used for frequency-domain applications. The NI-5731 has a filter bypass path, which enables under sampling or external user-customizable input filtering and is utilized for maximum flexibility.
