Peer-to-peer transfers are supported between different PXI Express NI FlexRIO FPGA modules and between select NI PXI Express digitizers and PXI Express NI FlexRIO FPGA modules.
The NI PXI FlexRIO FPGA modules include Xilinx Virtex-5 LX FPGAs with up to 128MB of locally available DRAM, which can be accessed at transmission capacities up to 1.6 GB/s. They highlight the greater part of the advantages of the PXI platform, including: synchronization, triggering, and fast data transfer to and from their hosts.
These modules give superior I/O that can be customized with the NI FlexRIO FPGA module. With these connector modules, National Instruments incorporates the module-particular Component-Level IP (CLIP) Node, which characterizes the interface amongst LabVIEW and the connector module. This encourages the user to start programming their application instantly, without a low-level comprehension of the connector module plan or usefulness.
