National Instruments 779117-01 PXI Multifunction I/O Module
The National Instruments 779117-01 (PXI-6251) is a multifunction M Series data acquisition module designed for PXI chassis applications requiring high-speed, accurate measurement and control. It is well suited for laboratory testing, design verification, manufacturing test, quality control, and research applications. The module can also be used with SCC signal conditioning cards and SCXI signal conditioning modules to interface with sensors and higher-voltage signals.
The 779117-01 provides 16 single-ended or 8 differential analog input channels with 16-bit resolution. A single channel can be sampled at up to 1.25 MS/s, while the maximum aggregate sampling rate is 1 MS/s when multiple channels are being sampled. The input voltage range is configurable across seven selectable ranges, including a maximum range of ±10 V.
For analog output, the module provides two 16-bit channels with update rates of up to 2.86 MS/s. It also includes 24 bidirectional digital I/O lines that can be software- or hardware-timed. Additional timing and synchronization capabilities include a 10 MHz clock and analog and digital triggering for coordinating data acquisition with other equipment in a test system.
The module incorporates calibration features designed to maintain measurement accuracy over time, including NI-MCAL calibration technology. Calibration can be performed using NI-DAQmx, and a NIST-traceable calibration certificate is available for applications requiring documented measurement traceability.
The 779117-01 is supported by NI-DAQmx and can be used with a range of National Instruments development and measurement software, including LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, Measurement Studio, and compatible Visual Studio and Visual Basic environments. NI LabVIEW SignalExpress can also be used for data logging and basic measurement tasks without requiring a custom acquisition program.
