MXI-Express x16 Series

The National Instruments MXI-Express x16 Series, including the PXIe-PCIe8388, PXIe-PCIe8398, and 784177-01, enables seamless control of PXI Express or CompactPCIe chassis using a PC or another PXIe chassis. Utilizing PCI Express technology, it establishes a high-speed link—up to 16 lanes wide—between the PC and chassis, supporting data transfer rates up to PCI Express Gen 3. A PCIe module installs in the PC, while a PXIe module fits into the chassis controller slot, ensuring efficient communication. The architecture is fully transparent to device drivers, eliminating the need for additional software. Ideal for high-performance applications, this series allows the control and measurement systems to operate separately, optimizing flexibility and efficiency in test and automation environments.
