The National Instruments S8 (Part Number: 182845-01) is a non-isolated, 1-meter Serial Cable. This cable is compatible with certain CompactRIO Controllers. This Serial Cable comes with a 9-Pin, Male DB-9 Back End Connection and a 10-Pin, Male RJ50 Front End Connection. The NI 182845-01 is widely used in applications where serial communication devices are used. This cable supports both RS232 and RS485 serial protocols and is considered a thin profile cable. With this cable, you can convert a standard serial connector to DB9.
This S8 Serial Cable fully supports serial communication and can provide sustainable and reliable communication at any baud rate. You can use this Serial Cable to control and connect touchscreens, GPIB devices, programmable logic controllers, external I/O, bar code scanners, etc. The National Instruments S8 Serial Cable is compatible with a broad range of NI devices and accessories.
