The 781042-10 is a fiber optic MXI-Express x4 Cable from National Instruments. This cable uses fiber-optics as a transmission medium and can be deployed for the construction of up to 10 meters across MXI-Express x4 links. 30 meter (Part Number: 781042-30) and 100 meter (Part Number: 781042-100) variants of this cable are also available. Through this Chassis Remote Control Cable, you can connect a PCIe-8375 to a single PXIe-8375 or two PXIe-8375 units. Moreover, the MXI-Express x4 Chassis Remote Control Cable can be considered for direct communication between a server and a chassis.
Part number 781042-10 is a better alternative available to copper cables, since it costs less and supports longer distances. This Chassis Remote Control Cable comes standard with a PXIe-PCIe8375 Kit that contains a PCIe board and a PXI board. Part number 781042-10 connects the PC or server hosted PCIe board to the PXIe module deployed in slot # 1 of a compatible PXIe chassis.
