National Instruments PXI-1044 PXI Chassis

The NI PXI-1044 (Part Number: 779218-01, 192011A-01) is a 14-slot PXI frame that acknowledges both CompactPCI and PXI modules. With 500 W of aggregate power, the PXI-1044 is an ideal chassis for test and estimation applications. For applications that require more than eight slots yet under 18, the PXI 1044 is a perfect choice.

The PXI 1044 Chassis highlights a field-removable power supply shuttle for simple substitution, with a mean time to repair under five minutes and offers a similar extra power supply and fan shuttle. The NI PXI-1044 offers a 14-slot backplane and an implicit slot blocker to guarantee enough cooling capacity to all PXI modules. The slot cooling capacity is 25 W. This model supplies the PXI 10 MHz framework clock signal (PXI_CLK10) autonomously to every peripheral slot. A free buffer (having a source impedance coordinated to the backplane and a slew of under 250 ps between slots) drives the clock signal to every peripheral slot. The user can employ this normal reference clock signal to synchronize numerous modules in an estimation or control framework. The user can also drive PXI_CLK10 from an outer source through the PXI_CLK10_IN pin on the P2 connector of the star trigger slot. Additionally, the NI device has a maximum system bandwidth of 132 MB per second.

The PXI 1044 Chassis can be rack mounted, has a carrying handle for easy transport, and tilted feet ideal for bench-top applications. This PXI Chassis accepts both PXI and CompactPCI 3U modules, has up to 500 W removable superior power supply with widespread AC input, acoustic emissions of 49 dBA, a front-panel LED which shows power supply failure, and a software programmable trigger routing between bus sections. The PXI system can be configured using the Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) tool. The device weighs 27.8 lbs., and measures 6.97 x 17.54 x 17.12 in. in physical dimensions. It has a recommended operating temperature range of 0 to 55 °C, and a storage temperature range of –20 to 70 °C. User manuals and other additional manuals for the PXI-1044 can be found under the "Manuals & PDFs" tab.

PXI-1044 Mature Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the PXI Chassis will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
